The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra is the third largest professional orchestra in Michigan and is recognized throughout the country as a regional orchestra of excellence. Each season the orchestra performs over 30 concerts, reaching over 100,000 people in the eight counties of southwest Michigan. The season includes seven Symphonic Series concerts and three Pops concerts at Miller Auditorium, "The World of.." series at Kalamazoo College�s Light Fine Arts Center, the Family Discovery Series at Chenery Auditorium, the Epic Evenings concerts at the Epic Theatre and special events throughout the year. The annual Summer Park Concerts in several community parks are a perennial favorite for residents in the communities of Kalamazoo, Portage, Plainwell, Parchment and Three Rivers. The KSO offers 19 different education programs for students of all ages.
